MORNING SESSION

8:00 a.m. - 11:45 p.m.  - this session will be both in-person and virtual

This Session will cover the latest Legal Update as well as Legal Best Practices

George Adams, Fisher Phillips

George is a Partner at Fisher Phillips, a National Labor and Employment Law Firm.  George has been involved with SISHRM since its inception and has provided the group with valuable insight into the ever changing HR laws.  He works with a large variety of clients: large and small, locally and nationally, in many different industries.  He has  assisted clients in virtually every aspect of the employment relationship, from developing hiring plans to implementing and defending termination decisions. During the recent recession, he gained extensive experience in devising and implementing strategies (e.g., RIFs, schedule and compensation reductions, etc.) to help employers reduce personnel costs. He has also performed considerable "traditional labor" work, which is a practice area he particularly enjoys.

Emotional Intelligence:  What's the Temperature of Your Organization?

Justin Campbell 

Justin published his first book March of 2017, The New Complete You Life Between the Lines. In November of 2020, he published his second book, The New Complete You The Program: Transformation that Leads to a More Productive Life. Justin appeared on the television program Great Day Live in October of 2018.  Justin has been interviewed on WLOU 104.7 FM and WLLV 1240 AM. He has been featured in the News and Tribune both for his book and for his work as a high school counselor. He has spoken to school groups, men's groups, church groups, appeared on mental health panels, and in various other community settings including a 3-day retreat for a community service organization aimed at ending tobacco use among young people.

The fact is, mental health challenges can affect everyone, but not always the same way.  There is no better time than now for organizations to prioritize implementing an effective workplace wellness strategy that includes skill-based, experiential and evidence-based practice. Learn how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health challenges encountered in the workplace.  

Airlea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides mental health therapy services for adolescents and adults and certified John Maxwell Team representative with a background in church leadership and non-profit work. Co-owner of Reconcile Consulting, LLC., providing individuals, teams, and organizations with leadership development, as well as personal and professional development advancement through coaching, speaking, and training on a variety of topics, ranging from personal/professional growth and diversity and inclusion, to trauma-informed leadership and mental health.

This presentation will be certified for at least 6.0 HRCI and SHRM credits
